Another gong for our Vishuddha Yoga Centre: it has been named as a Regional Finalist in the prestigious Civic Trust Awards.
We are one of only three in Oxford alongside a couple of Oxford college developments.
We will find out if we are a national award winner in January.

The new edition of Pevsner’s guide to Oxford and South-East Oxfordshire has just seven colour plates covering the best 21st century architecture in the area. All but one of them are of major institutional buildings; the last is a photo of Incurvo, the house Adrian James Architects designed in Goring. We are in illustrious company.

Nikolaus Pevsner’s guides to the Buildings of England are “the greatest treasury of English architecture ever compiled”. The latest edition covering Oxford and South-East Oxfordshire, expertly and exhaustively edited and expanded by Simon Bradley, is just out. It has some nice things to say about Adrian James Architects` contribution to the architectural heritage of Oxford and its environs.

A first view of our new girls’ accommodation building at Shrewsbury School which completed in time for the start of term in September.
There is some barrier fencing to remove and some landscaping to be done, so it’s not at its most photogenic; we’ll get some pukka photos done in the new year.

So over the summer we entered the RIBA’s ‘Department 4 Education’ competition with a proposal to convert an Oxford department store into a school.

We’ve done the sums and it turns out the RIBA gong we bagged last week was our 25th design award. Woohoo. These include seven awards in all from the RIBA, two of which were for sustainability. Then there have been national awards e.g. best townhouse, best brick house, best concrete building in the whole UK. And local ones; special because we want to make a difference in our patch: Oxford Preservation Trust, OxPropFest and the Chilterns Building Award. See them all via the link in our bio.
