St. Clement’s

A design for new graduate accommodation on a site beside the river Cherwell close to Oxford city centre.

The idea was bold: to build over the top of the existing public car park, creating a new public plaza with panoramic views over the Cherwell floodplain. The other key principle was to offer similar views for all the rooms above, which led to the orientation of both the blocks and the windows.
