These are not just curtains…
… they are very, very big curtains. And getting them up was quite a thing.
Our double height space has a huge window; over 5 metres tall and 3.5 metres wide. At first we were not sure if we could / should have curtains, but we decided it would be a good idea for a couple of reasons. Firstly, to reduce solar gain on very sunny days. And secondly, to help with acoustics.
What we hadn’t perhaps thought through, was what a big thing it would be to get them put up. But the wonderful Curtain Shop team came with their tower and got stuck in. We had a few anxious moments when we were not sure if the wiring / motor would work and when the curtains got stuck. But, happily, everything worked in the end. Now all I have to work out is how to clean the top of that window….
